Rush

Kill the rush or let it blaze.
No spark can last for days.
We can rupture disembodied thoughts before they have a chance to phase.
Seize the day. Shoot for stars.
Take the trip. Buy that car.
Enjoy a spike in cholesterol at the hands of buttered cob.
As long as we're together we can be reckless forever.
Taunt all boundaries before our bond to earth is severed.
Or maybe not. We can live life utterly mundane.
As long as I'm with you the rush is still the same.

Deep In The Night

Thoughts of him are my Teddy bear.
I hold them closely in the dark.
When he drives into my wishes
I hope he puts the ride in park.
